P-51B 336th FS, 4th FG, Maj. John Trevor Godfrey 2
Raiden P-51B, with one of the Scale Specialties 4th FG decals possible planes. Plain white metal, polished with Blue Magic. Brush-primed the canopy, hood and nose only, then painted them. The stripes are decals, and easy to put on; more than I thought! More to follow.

B-25D 345th BG strafers
Converted from a C-in-C B-25J. I've always loved these B-25's with birdie and bat faces. I had to make me a few! (They claimed they were falcons, but everybody knows they're PARROTS!) I think these are my crowning achievements The front turret hole was filed around and filled in with white Milliput and putty, then I drilled a hole on the back and made another turret with Milliput (I thought the C-in-C turret too small). I filed also the side gun windows and filled them in, then carved a bit of a rectangular window on each side with a curved X-Acto knife. I left the tail blister because I saw a few photos with B-25D's that had it added on. I also added an astrodome blister and a radio antenna (the sexy teardrop) up front, made also outta Milliput. All guns are from an electric guitar E-string. Nice stainless steel. Tiny holes were drilled for each with a .010" bit, I think. I made tiny rounded rectangles with 0.02" plastic card with guitar string guns for the side gun packs, glued on with Krazy Glue. Insignias from Helmet Historical Aircraft Models, which have a white base and then a blue circle with a clear star. I could then combine the backing for a 1944 insignia with a 1942 disc, to make these guys' borderless bars. Most serial numbers (placed one by one) are Microscale, although some are extras from I-94's US-140 sheet. Painted in 2011.
