Here is a cheap and quick way to make 10mm scale crop fields. 1. Buy some brown corderoy from a fabric store; 2. Cut it out to desired field size; 3. spray a light coating of Elmer's spray on glue; 4. Quickly sprinkle some light green flock on (just a few light sprinkles and be inconsistent)( I sprinkled it on straight from the bag); 5. Quickly lift up the "field" and shake off as much flock as you can; 6. use a brush to sweep the "field" until just a few pieces of flock are left. 7. Let dry. The process takes about 2 minutes and the results look better than this picture shows! If you want a wet looking field, first dry brush paint with alternating layers of muddy colors.









When you brush off the excess, make sure to brush in the same direction as the grooves on the corderoy.
